FOGERTY, GIBBONS, GUY, BECK & RICHARDS: Boogie Blues

John

Two collaborations with five legendary artists will be released this month.

The first one comes tomorrow (Friday) from John Fogerty and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. Fogerty wrote "The Holy Grail" for them to play on their current tour. He tells Rolling Stone, "For me as a musician, swamp boogie is the holy grail of music. This sound captured my soul from a very early age. I couldn't think of a better artist to conjure the vibe of the swamp with me better than the one and only Billy F. Gibbons."

The other collaborative release will be out on June 15th from blues legend Buddy Guy, who is joined by Jeff Beck and Keith Richards on "Cognac," one of 14 songs on his new album, The Blues Is Alive and Well. Mick Jagger also makes an appearance on the album, on "You Did the Crime."
