Bob Dylan wrapped up his Pacific tour today (Tuesday) in Christchurch, New Zealand and treated his audience to only the second performance of “Like a Rolling Stone” in the past five years. He also did “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry” for the first time since 2005. He starts a U.S. tour on October 4th in Phoenix.  He performs at The Saenger Theater, Mobile, October 17th.

Stevie Nicks, who once told us she doesn’t “My Face or My Space or Space Face,” now has an Instagram account, which promises exclusive photos as Fleetwood Mac prepare to launch their tour on October 3rd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Toto's Steve Lukather is also new to Instagram, but adds, “I just gotta figure out how to use the thing.”

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s homecoming show Sunday in Jacksonville, Florida will be captured on audio and video for future release.

Bad Company will do a handful of dates in late September, October and November. They will open for Lynyrd Skynyrd in Nashville on October 26th and join Cheap Trick in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 27th.

Gene Simmons will donate a percentage from each signed copy of his new book, 27: The Legend and Mythology of the 27 Club, to the Suicide Prevention Hotline. 27 will be out on October 16th.

Yes featuring Anderson, Rabin, Wakeman started their 10-day U.S. tour Sunday night at the Whisky in West Hollywood, site of their first U.S. headlining shows in 1971. Keyboardist Rick Wakeman says the show was “wonderfully nostalgic… brought back so many great memories. [But] apologies to Jon, Trev and the band as I seemed to take up most of the stage [with my keyboards].”

The new-look Fleetwood Mac -- with Neil Finn and Mike Campbell in place of Lindsey Buckingham -- will make its TV performance debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Wednesday, September 5th. 

Calling him “an absolute titan in the southern rock music world,” 38 Special paid tribute to Ed King, the Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist who died last week. “No words can express the inspiration and impact that Ed’s fine musicianship made on us all. He was and will always remain a key figure in the success of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The fiery guitar solos, the prolific songwriting, the fine guitar mastery and unique expression...He was truly one of a kind…”

Lynyrd Skynyrd has commented on the shooting spree in the band’s hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. “Sunday’s events have left us with heavy hearts for the victims and the families of this senseless tragedy. We wanted to let our community know that our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed and injured. We can only hope that the families and those affected can find some comfort this week. We will be [performing] in Jacksonville on Sunday with our friends and family, and hope that the power of music can bring people together to celebrate and enjoy each other's company.”

Billy Idol will do a fall tour, running from September 12th in Portland, Oregon through October 6th in Napa, California.

Ian Hunter’s 1974 memoir, Diary of a Rock n Roll Star, won’t be republished in the U.S. until next spring. It will be out in the U.K. on September 27th.

Boz Scaggs will perform at the fifth annual Austin City Limits Hall of Fame ceremony on October 25th in Austin, Texas. It will air on PBS on New Year's Eve.
