Foreigner and Shriners Record Special Video

Foreigner-Shriners

Foreigner have been supporters of Shriners Hospitals for Children for 10 years and have raised $300,000 from CD sales at their shows.

Last week, guitarist Mick Jones and singer Kelly Hansen were in Tampa where they met with Shriners patients at the hospital there to re-record "I Want to Know What Love Is" for a special video.

Jones says the lyrics apply to the resilience and happiness the medical network brings to its patients. "Over time, it kinda went into a more universal feeling, and a lot of people took it as that, and that's fine with me. It's a song of hope and a song of joy and happiness and inspiration."

Hansen adds, "Being involved in this is all really good, but getting to share it with the kids is really the best part for me."

The video will feature pediatric patients singing along with a children's choir on the special version of the song, which will be available for download on January 1st. All of the proceeds from sales of the song will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Foreigner, they know what love is...
