Damn Yankees Reunuion?, Foghat, Fogerty and more Nuggets

Tommy Shaw joined his onetime Damn Yankees bandmate Jack Blades and his band Night Ranger for the Yankees’ “High Enough” last Saturday in Lincoln, California. Before bringing out Shaw, Blades said, “People keep asking me, ‘When is there gonna be a Damn Yankees reunion’?”

The Rock Legends Cruiseh has announced a ninth sailing, February 18th to the 22nd, 2021 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico. Next year’s cruise, February 27th to March 2nd, features Roger Daltrey, Paul Rodgers, Robby Krieger, Roger Hodgson and many others.

John Fogerty will be featured in a piece about the 50th anniversary of Woodstock on CBS Sunday Morning this weekend.

Ronnie Wood visitedNASA’s Space Center in Houston last Saturday whileThe Rolling Stones were in town for a show. Their next tour stop is East Rutherford, New Jersey on Thursday and Monday. 

U2 have added a December 11th date in Manila on their Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour following shows in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and Singapore. It will be their first-ever show in the Philippines.

Jon Brewer's documentary on Chuck Berry will screen at the Nashville Film Festivalin October. It features interviews with Joe Perry,Steve Van Zandt, Alice Cooper, Nile Rodgers,Johnny Rivers and Keith Richards.

Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh and his guitarist son Grahame have been added to the lineup of the second Dirt Farmer Festivalon September 6th and 7th in Accord, New York. Organized by Levon Helm Studios,The Midnight Ramble Band will headline both nights, with Steve Earle, Levon's daughter Amy Helm, and a tribute to the late Dr. John also on the bill.

Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule will do a benefit show called One Night Only...Again!at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York on October 19th. Proceeds benefit the medical research charity, DEBRA of America.

Foghat have tour datess starting Thursday in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They will perform most weekends (and a few weekdays) through November.

Former Cinderella frontman Tom Keifer will release his second solo album,Rise, on September 13th.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will stage Fan Days for Heart and Joan Jett followers on Sunday, Santana on August 7th, and The Who on September 10th, which is when each act is performing in town. Each day will feature uncut induction footage, artifacts, music and merchandise.

The John Lennon-Yoko Ono documentary Above Us Only Skywill be released on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally on September 13th.
