The occasion was a tribute concert honoring late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who signed them to the label in 1968. Their set list for the two-hour, 16-song show, captured in its entirety, draws from all but the final phase of their volcanic past, spanning an intensely trippy Dazed and Confused from their 1969 self-titled debut album to For Your Life (performed here publicly for the first time) and Nobody's Fault But Mine.

Celebration Day , the 2-hour documentary and concert will be shown in more than 200 U.S. theaters at 7:30 p.m. local time Wednesday and Thursday before being released in several DVD/CD/Blu-ray configurations on Nov.19, with vinyl to follow Dec. 11.
